Uniform, Term Dates & Fees
UNIFORM
Ballet clothing is the RAD regulation uniform. This means that when children are ready to take exams they are prepared with the correct uniform.
All uniform can be purchased through Chalk Farm School of Dance at competitive prices. ‘Chalk Farm School of Dance’ Tracksuits, Hoodies, T-shirts, Dance Bags etc. are also on sale and can be purchased through the school. In addition there is a limited supply of 2nd hand uniform items available for sale.
Girls
Nursery Ballet – Pink RAD leotard with short sleeves and matching skirt
Primary Ballet – Lilac RAD leotard with short sleeves and matching skirt
Grade 1 Ballet – Lilac RAD leotard with short sleeves (no skirt)
Grade 2 Ballet – Marine Blue RAD leotard with short sleeves (no skirt)
Grade 3,4,5 + – Navy Blue RAD leotard with short sleeves (no skirt)
Short Pink Socks or Pink Ballet Tights
Pink Ballet Shoes – Leather (or equivalent) with elastics (ribbons from Grade 4)
Pink, Lilac, Marine Blue or Navy Crossover Cardigan (as applicable)
Boys
Shorts – RAD regulation navy (or regular black)
White Vest, T-Shirt or leotard
Short white socks
Black or White Ballet Shoes
*Hair must be tied back neatly and no jewellery is to be worn in class*

FEES
Classes currently cost £9-50 per class (3/4 hr class) £11-00 per class (1hr class)and £15-00 (1 1/2 hr class). Fees are payable in advance for the term. Terms are usually 11 or 12 weeks. However, for new pupils, two “trial” lessons are permitted for which a fee for two lessons (£19-00 re children’s classes) is payable in advance of the first class, thereafter the fees must be paid in advance for the remainder of the term.
There is no refund for any classes missed but the class may be made up, during the same term, at a similar class on an alternative day.
If pupils miss 3 consecutive lessons (without any notification) their place will be reallocated. It is requested that a term’s notice be given if pupils wish to terminate classes.
